The sky was golden in colour.
The birds were returning to their homes.
And the sun was about to set.
There were people seated at many tables at the rooftop restaurant of Hotel Sindhu Towers.
A man of about twenty-five to thirty years old was seated at a table for two.He was waiting for someone.
A woman entered the restaurant.
The man’s face lit up with happiness.
She walked to his table and sat opposite him.
“Hey!” he said nervously.
“Hey, how is everything going?” asked the woman.
“Yeah, good. Actually, I wanted to ask you something.”
“Yes, I could see that from your face. Go on…”
“We have known each other for the past five years. We work together, and we’ve spent a lot of time together…”
He paused and looked at her face.
Her face was lit by the golden rays of the sun.
“I think it would be good if we shared our lives together. Will you marry me?”
The sunset began.
The sky changed its colour from second to second.
With each change in the sky, the woman’s expression changed too.
She gave a beautiful smile at the end and nodded her head, saying yes.
Under that beautiful golden sky, both of them smiled at each other and held hands.
